Amy studied Film Scoring and Orchestral Conducting at Berklee College of Music, in the city of Boston, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She was awarded the Georges Delerue Film Scoring Award, and was appointed Assistant Conductor of the Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra (BCSO) for two years.
She began playing piano and violin at the age of four. To begin her studies in music theory and voice performance, she enrolled in the school EMMAT, in the city of Bogotá, Colombia. In 2008, she was awarded the merit-based North American Scholarship Tour Award to study at Berklee College of Music. While at Berklee, she also studied Cello Performance with Sam Ou, faculty member of the New England Conservatory, in Boston.
Recently, she has finished a Master in Digital Audio and Sound Production of Avid Pro Tools in the city of Madrid.
Writing music for motion picture has awaken her passion for Cinematography and Film Directing. Motivated by this, she studied Professional Photography and Filmmaking, at EFTI, in the city of Madrid.
She has recently written and directed her first original short film “LA CAZA”, which will be distributed internationally, and has already started writing her second short film.
Currently she works as a freelance composer, sound designer, video and music editor, and is participating in the production of various audiovisual projects.
